Took it off, manually turned the blend door to cold and WALA.....ice cold air. I bought a replacement from Autozone and slapped that puppy on there.

When the drivers door is opened, I hear the classic "blend door" type off noise. This noise stops after a few minutes. My soon-to-be ex-son-in-law has replaced the actuator to the left of the glove box opening. I see and fee this left actuator moving and making the noise. The internal gears appear to be damage free.
Dec 13, 2016 · I have a 2010 Chevy equinox LT V6. The heat quit working and I found some other threads here referring to the blend door actuator. I got a replacement, removed the old one ( I popped it open and there were many lost teeth on the gears). Put the new one in and no change. It's not blowing cold air, just minimally warm air.
