For an AMC V8 they should be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. For the Jeep I-6 CYL they should be marked in the firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4. Different engines makes have different firing orders, so you need to make sure what your particular firing order is. The firing order is factory stamped onto the intake manifold, so double check.
