Missing eyes and fingers bad. With a sinking feeling I picked up the suppressor. I unscrewed the end cap. It unthreaded! I poured out probably 100+ grain of shaved and powdered lead. The endcap was completely undamaged! Not one crack. It wasn't bowed out, nothing. Baffles were totally intact aside from some lead splash on the last baffle.
It is supposed to be less likely with the wolverine because I believe it has slightly larger end cap hole diameter then a typical 30 cal. It is still possible. In my experience the way they occur in rifle suppressors, 99% of the time, is people shooting a round that is bigger than the bore of the muzzle adapter or suppressor.
It’s important that you install the brake correctly though (no crush washer) to avoid it being installed off alignment and getting baffle and end cap strikes. If you are installing your Wolfman, you HAVE to use the key micro and key micro brake. You can’t use anything else as the brake acts as a first sacrificial baffle in the can with supers.I always recommending running guide rods especially the first time using the suppressor. It is a small investment to save a larger investment. I have seen them save numerous suppressors from baffle strikes. I'm not sure with AAC adapters but I know with other brands there is special instructions when installing adapters on tbe SCAR 16 and 17

Had my Surefire 300 SPS rebuilt by Surefire in NOV 2019 after an end cap strike from a destabilized round. I wouldn't go as far as to say that is the cause of the baffle strike. Your mount would have to come really far off and be really loose to misalign it so bad to where it would strike would a good round.
