The 1.1 wiki says drop rate is about 10%. Yes. And they drop them at about the reported 10% cause I got like 100 of them while farming for the blindfold. I suggest making a mummy farm (one long 3 thick platform of dirt with a 1 thick layer of crimson sand on top) because they just don't spawn often enough in normal desert.
