Check your grip and make sure you're not resting your thumb on the slide stop. That's a common issue, especially guns like the P30 where the slide stop is further o the rear. Not sure why they decided to do that on the P30, as it's not that way on the USP or p2000. I actually like my VP9SK better then my full size VP9. If you have VP9 already its probably no brainer to just get the SK. If you want something different go for the P30SK. The USPs are totally overbuilt and always will be. I have both the P30SK and the VP9SK. They are very similar in size, and complementary. The LEM trigger makes the P30SK shoot much like a striker fired pistol. I generally prefer hammer fired pistols so the P30SK definitely stays. Use the VP9SK where snags may be a problem from the hammer spur of the P30SK. I would not change a thing.

So used some of my American Eagle 9mm and the same problems. Then we used the other mag in the kit and we got the same results- All Bad ! The P30's was several thousandths larger with a ridge about 1/4 the way down from the mouth. The cases have always formed this way in the P30. I'm beginning to wonder if they machined the chamber incorrectly. It s a full size P30S which is cut down at the grip and muzzle by about an inch each way. I can get my whole hand around the grip, which enhances shootability. It kicks about like my .40 P99 but isn’t quite as snappy. Just not for me or da/SA. You can get an HK45 with a decocker only, no safety. Or convert one that is da/sa with a safety lever to be decocker only. From my research, In order to remove the safety from the V3:da/sa it would have to be converted to the LEM/v1. And I’m not fond of the V1, I like the control of the V3.
