From what I understand, support centric reduces cooldown of all palico and palamute abilities but reduces damage and defense. While ranged/melee centric reduce the cooldown and raise the damage for their respective skills.
The strongest builds are usually Master's Touch+attack boosts for raw and Master's Touch+Crit Element for element (which has proven to be effective with HH). Best for raw is Acidic, followed by Rajang* and Bone. Best elementals are Coral Pukei, Velkhana, Glavenus, Fulgur Anja, and Shara (w/ Free Element). I think the advantage of flinch free 1 is it also stops knockbacks from monsters while shock absorber stops attacks only from teammates. Tho the good thing is it also stops big ones like hammer upswings, GL bullet barrage and bowgun cluster ammos. So if monster knockbacks annoy you, flinch free is still a good choice.It can come up as a secondary but only through vigor. And max lvl will only be 2. So yeah, at the mercy of RNG. That's why most builds try to add BuB (and similar skills like frostcraft, dragon conversion, etc.) through augments and use a more efficient talisman instead to squeeze in more skills since it's insanely hard to get a good BuB ...It's a real shame, too, because it would allow for some really cool fashion hunting combinations. I believe the head pieces are an exception. Head pieces are no exception. All of them are allowed for both classes.

For instance, you can use R2 as an opener while out of combat to get your first buff if you're close to a monster. Just make sure you're fairly close, the target is center screen, then press R2. You will draw, and your insect will fly out a bit and connect for a near instant buff.
Lance is the most defensive weapon. Amazing reach, a simple moveset and the best block options in the game. The best advice I've received so far is "This game is a Marathon, not a Sprint." If you're trying to rush to the end and beat the game quickly you're gonna have a hard time and you're better off playing something else or just put that guardian equipment on and play "easy mode" lol.The chances for Rare Drops are incresead in Gold Rewards. Dereliction Testing. The following was tested with only 1 level of Dereliction. HP is drained at a rate of 1 HP/s. Having more HP does not change the rate, it only gives you more HP to drain. Recovery Speed and Recovery Up does not affect this HP Drain whatsoever (in fact, natural red health regeneration seems to be disabled with Dereliction).I used AngBata's Alatreon counter build, with the Dominator and full Safi. The legs on the Alatreon set come with defense boost 3. If you're using a full set that's gonna be there whether you want it or not. Defense Boost gives you a bonus to each element resistance at higher levels.
