The default initiative button won't even work now either on the sheet, as it is hard coded to send to the tracker, so I've had to work around that last game with manual macro/rolling.  The odd thing is that in the two games I have, scripts are consistent across both, as are macros.

It's been a while since I've Roll20'd, but I'm quite sure this is not true. Also, macros can have several tokens as targets and requiring them to be selected before running the macro is asking for nasty usability issues (IMHO at least). And also, OP asked if the use of the Initiative tracker, macros and not using tokens in game.

Gozer the Gozerian. I was given this a while back by an arcane scriptomancer. It removes a token from the turn order if bar1 goes to -1 or lower. You can change that threshold if need be. I use it to remove NPCs that fall in battle, and I set PC health to 0 when they fall, so they stay in the turn order for Death Saves.
