Dexcom is fine in the ocean. I wore my G5 all last summer and we spent tons of time in the ocean and pool. The ONLY beach-related issue I had was some sand getting between the transmitter and sensor, causing it to lose connection. I found that putting a large patch of Tegaderm over the whole thing stopped this from happening.
