What you want to do is the create, or use existing, workplanes and then use the Split Body command. You can do this as many times as necessary to get smaller bodies which you can then use the Save as STL command on. A workaround, sketch on the top or bottom, make a profile that makes the cut on one side, make that cut with Keep Tools, then cut the original full body with the cut body.
