If I wanted defrost/defog I'd select it ESPECIALLY in manual mode; like I said before, this car doesn't have a manual HVAC mode in actuality. In my wife's 2010 Equinox, which also has auto controls, it does NOT work this way, when you select floor vents, it's on the floor with a minor bleed to the windshield.
