Yes, I think a +5 Demon Greataxe is the best weapon for pure Strength builds. The demon greataxe goes to +15. On paper it's the best but it has a really slow attack animation and is very heavy. It can be very limited in fights or against certain enemies that can stagger you. As a side note, the soft cap for leveling is 40 in both strength and dex.

There's a regular greataxe a tiny bit later in the game that you'll probably find, it's got a nearly identical moveset and only requires 22 strength to wield two handed. I'd say try that out once you get it and if you like it, keep going for the demon's greataxe. Alright I will keep an eye out for that axe.

The BK Greataxe and the Gargoyle tail one look awesome, for an example. It's just kind of disappointing that the two most powerful GREATaxes in the game are short and blunt.
