Ambien is a z-drug, so is Lunesta, zopiclone, etc. For non-prescription stuff, yes, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is probably the best. IMO, I'd lower your dose of melatonin down to 5mg or 10mg, and raise your Benadryl to 50mg.
