Jun 1, 2017 · During her tenure, Kamps helped raise the profile of autism research conducted at KU. She was the first director for K-CART, which was established in 2008 with private and public funds. Under her leadership, 12 KU Discovery Grants were awarded to 16 KU scientists, stimulating new research initiatives and leading to externally funded grants.
