About 3/4 of my defenses against TH9s and 1/2 of TH10 defenses are against Zap Dragon. Three of my clanmates (TH8, 9 and 15) use the strategy too. And they use SOLELY Dragons, not even 1 Hound/Loons, it's just 11+1 CC Dragon. Why is it so popular? Dragons move slowly, attack slowly, attack any building and are susceptible to air mines.

Base design needs to change a lot as well. Can’t have sweepers touching ADs anymore, zap still gets those, and can’t have ADs within quake range of each other since that will save a spell space.
At th11, I have had some success using dragon+bats. Hybrid is my preferred method, but I will switch to it if I need to. It works, though I don't practice slot. I use 11 drags with four balloons, seven lightening, three bats, and a freeze. Then, I do a lightening in CC. Lightening 2 AD is enough to get two more troops.
