The great scythe is the best weapon in the game: fast, ridiculous range, amazing damage output, and bleed on top of that. Don't get me wrong - the halberd is a ton of fun, but it just can't match the scythe for shredding through PVE. I'd keep your great scythe for the rest of the game and take it to +15 instead of keeping it fire.
