I just bought a P365 SAS. I like it so far but... After watching some reviews I may go with a non ported barrel, install a regular P365 takedown lever and slide lock lever. My main concern with the ported barrel is firing it close to the body and venting hot gas out the top. Yes, - I did have the take down lever pushed forward. As I was putting the slide on the receiver, it was back far enough to be flush with the front and back of the receiver as if it were normally on.

Almost every time I've run into a stuck takedown on a 320; it's because the recoil assembly has it in a bind. Wiggle the recoil assembly and try again. I agree with SMD.

The first is that the takedown lever is not down, which is cured by lifting the slide stop, and the second is the safety lever near the sear is in the up position which blocks the slide.

Slide and takedown are locked tight. If I apply some significant force to the takedown lever in an attempt to return it to the 6 o'clock position the slide moves a fraction forward as much as the takedown lever moves down. I dont dare apply more pressure not knowing what has happened. It accepts a magazine. Trigger pull as usual.

The P365 magazine springs are stiff at first. You won't encounter nearly as much resistance when the magazine is loaded, of course, and obviously if you remove the magazine, no problem.
