Memory on 45L could go up to 3733, but HP made it 3200. Memory on test bench not limited to 3200, so it go faster. Hp basically throttled the speed and made it where you can't really change it in bios. From my understanding, I was told Ryzen master will allow you change those values without having to go into bios.
30L owner here…. You should go for the 40L. EDIT: The 30L’s heating issues are due to poor airflow design. There’s things you can do to optimize it and make it have pretty decent temps, but with all the extra expenses and tinkering (if you don’t feel comfortable swapping out parts), the 40L is better.
