I'm not sure where you heard that no one uses Brews anymore. O_o. Not for high-end pvm usually, but they sure as hell helped me with fight caves. They're relatively cheap because people use them for herblore training, and one also requires super restores or overloads to prevent them from dropping certain stats to zilch.
