I got sick of waiting for TECS 3.5 years ago, and bought a virpil throttle. 100% satisfied. I waited over a year, then went with the CM3 in the BF sales and was not disappointed. Watching the VKB Tango sneak peak of the preview of the demo concept pretty much sealed the deal for me. They haven't got anything ready.

Anyway glad to see some movement finally on the TECS throttle from VKB. I had decided they shelved the project and were just going to stick with the cheaper devices. I finally gave up some time ago and got a Virpil CM3 Throttle. And then earlier this year got the Virpil base and Alpha Prime grip and using it now rather than my Gunfighter Mk III.

Whilst I don't think anybody needing a throttle or a throttle upgrade should wait for TECS (they should go with a CM3 or an Orion 2 or even maybe a Super Taurus, depending on need), I think you're exaggerating wildly about the delay. There are some indications that TECS might land this Chinese lunar year or shortly thereafter.

Returned it, got VKB stuff and realized the X56 stick had been painfully straining my hand especially during landings with rudder twist. I usually don’t complain but the Logitech stuff sucked. The VKB TECS is (by design) not really great for DCS level combat jets (especially ones with even somewhat modern control layouts). It is better to get even the T.16000m because at least then you will have a logical hat/switch/button layout.
