The closest issue to this was like 2 or 3 weeks after I got a blue Xbox One remote in 2014 a screw holding something together in one of the triggers got lose and preventing me from engaging the trigger, so I had to take it apart and re-screw that screw back into place, but even almost 7 years later the remote still works perfectly fine after I screwed the screw back into place.

Very easy fix, disassemble the controller so you get to the trigger, put some soft material on the glue spot, and that is it. Max 30 mins of hassle. This is exactly how I fixed my right trigger sticking as well. I took the tiny rubber pad completely out and rubbed off the remaining adhesive with a Qtip dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
