In the DoW Mod Manager window you should see a list of mods under "currently installed mods" in the bottom left. To actually run Unification with the new races, "Unification_New_Races (Version 5.9.1)" has to be clicked on and highlighted, and all the required mods to the right of it should be green. You also want to toggle LAA to active.

Unification mod crashing on start up. Ran the game using the mod manager, with green across the board. Installed recently emperors children and imperial fists races. Ran the config and said everything is a go. On startup, it crashes. Running the game and switching to the mod says "failure to get the game" or something similar.
