Characters getting older makes them weaker. Characters are always vulnerable. Even in Part 8, we see Josuke arrested for "killing" that one guy out in public. Most Americans are aware that Medicare provides healthcare for citizens once they turn 65 as well as younger people with certain disabilities and end-stage renal disease. However, how to actually collect those benefits is a different story.

Part 9 could be referential of Parts 5 and 6, possibly ultimately capping out JoJo's overarching story (and I'd like it to be such because Araki's getting old, regardless of what any of us joke, and if Parts 8 and 9 go on for as long as SBR, by the end of Part 9 he'd be 66, and I'd prefer that it be finished before he has a chance to die). However, this time everyone dies except for Emporio. Diamond is Unbreakable had 170 chapters and ran for 4 years on a consistent weekly schedule. I'm going to extrapolate a little. Since originally IIRC SBR wasn't even titled as JoJo, and a lot of people are hung up on DC style universe resets. It was confusing for Me before I actually read Part 6. And Araki did explain in I believe JoJo A Go Go how it's seperate but it's not like many people read that outside of Japan so that's fair enough.

In my opinion, it is difficult to judge how I feel about the ending without the last chapter, 110. With that said, to this moment I think part 8 will have an ending that is between okay and good. Part 4 is overrated, and heavily carried by the ending. Let me preface this by saying that Part 4 is the most unique JoJo part. I truly believe that Part 4's setting was even better than Steel Ball Run, where Josuke and his friends are basically venturing through the small town of Morioh Cho, fighting and befriending stand users.
