Wilson Lake is one of the clearest lakes in the state of Kansas and known for swimming beaches, hiking trails, camping facilities, and hunting areas. Striped bass and walleye fishing make Wilson Lake a famous fishing spot. You will also find black bass, channel catfish, crappie, smallmouth bass, striped bass, and white bass.At 6,400 hectare, Milford Lake is the largest man-made lake in the state. The lake was created during the construction of the Milford Dam along the Republican River. On the southeast corner of the lake is the Milford State Park.
