I have seen more people say if they got the good pop up after 24 hours, it's almost never wrong. But your test is scored twice. So if it's done before 24 hours, it may be wrong. It was surely wrong for me. I did every single step correctly. I did it at a few hours after and a few more times. The quick results are usually available 48 hours after the testing time, no matter the day of the week. If you took the test on Thursday at 8:00 then check for the quick results at 8:00 on Saturday (unless you are still getting the results on hold status). Sorry about your experience, but have hope. I passed the 2nd try and I kept doing the PVT to make sure it was real then I got my license less than 24 hours after I tested. Regardless if you didn't pass you can take it again never be discouraged, a lot of people fail it.

Yes, it usually means you passed. I failed my first attempted and put in my card info 1 hour after exam. It took my payment and literally scheduled an appointment that day. The trick worked for me but in the bad way. I got my results emailed to me the next day. I did fail.

Granted...I'll be trying the trick myself when I take my NCLEX in a few weeks, but I won't be shouting from the rooftops "YAY I PASSED!"
