#1 Hey folks, I just switched over from an i5-8600k to a Ryzen 7 5800x, so I'm a bit out of my depths regarding what temperatures to expect. I seem to be sitting around the low 40s on idle, usually mid 50s on a light load but not uncommonly ~60 ° with spikes up to ~70 ° sometimes - even with fairly mundane things like opening a new browser tab.
My 5800x3d will 'throttle' at 90c, but as soon as im done running whatever benchmark, temps immediately hit 40 and back to 35c. On an nh-d15. The temperature you see in ryzen master really is more of a hotspot temp than it is actual die temp. In games I never break 60c, only in a benchmark or stress test does it actually hit or get close to max ...The AMD 7 5800X3D are known as being hot. Look at the power difference between 3600 and the 5800X3D in the pics above. With a wrong cooler could make that happen. If you can, try to change the AIO to a 360mm or an Air Noctua D15.

High temp (80+C) + high current (140~150+A) should be of concern for longevity. Ok I don't have an AMD CPU but my 12 core i7 12700K sits 28~32 idle with a 23 room temp.
