On 2003-2004 trucks, the relay box is small and contains 2 relays. The FICM Control Relay is the one closest to the engine. On 2005+ trucks, the relay box is large and contains several relays and fuses. The FICM Control Relay is the one that is closest to the engine and radiator (forward-right position). It is all about heat generation. The FICM's amplify the 12V system to 48V. In doing so, they generate quite a bit of heat. Many forum posts helped a ton, even though some threads ended with no resolution. I bought a 6.0l Excursion knowing it needed work (Oil in the coolant).

Jan 31, 2015 · ICP reads 33. FMP starts at 45 and slowly drops to zero. FLP starts at about 10 and also slowly drops to zero. This all sounds like symptoms I read about for the FICM relay. I replaced the 50 amp fuse to see if that made a difference. No change. Engine cranking, I do get pressure on the low pressure pump gauge.
