The music program at CCC&TI started in 1977 to serve Caldwell County and surrounding areas. With the success of the music program, in 1982 the Associate in Fine Arts Music (AFA Music) degree program was established by Bill Jones at CCC&TI and directed by Kay Crouch from 1985 to 2013.
