We have one in a room which was an addition and not tied to our steam radiator heating system. It puts out a lot of heat, but it burns through pellets really fast so I don't know that I would want to rely on it for heating a house overnight (I grew up in a house heated only by a wood-burning stove and I did not appreciate having to get up to put logs on the fire in the middle of a cold night!).

Yes! I would like to stop adulting. When my DH goes out of town for a weekend, about 4-5 times a year, I go to TJ's, buy a bunch of frozen food for the kids to eat, tell them they have to get their own rides home, take care of the dogs, and feed themselves, and invite a few friends over to drink beer on the porch for 10 hours.
