Unfortunately the phone passed Swappa's payment plan restriction, when it should not have. Swappa's payment plan test isn't perfect, but the lost/stolen check has never failed. 3 years isn't too much at all when you consider that Apple generally supports their phones for around 5 years. Camera differences aside, the X and XS look identical, work pretty much identically and both have very strong resale values. It really does boil down to what you prefer, a new sealed phone or a lightly used phone.
