It just increases the speed of vanilla pickaxes, so you mine faster. Movement speed is increased by ~53%. Jump speed is increased by 10% or 20%, I don't know. BTW sorry for the late reply.^^. I think pumpking, spirit, and sacred tools all fit well with thorium. Pumpking is pretty small mod. Couple bosses and some nice gear/weapons, but hard to get/gated well. Spirit is pretty big, but i think really fits well with thorium. Especially if you like summon gear as together they create a pretty smooth progression.
