SOURCE: torque specs for valve cover. not sure there is such a thing. I've never seen anybody use a torque wrench on valve cover bolts. Just use a nut driver (screwdriver type) or a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, and tighten as much as you can. They don't need to be very tight. Posted on May 04, 2009

The valve cover bolts torque down to 106 in-lbs or about 8 ft-lbs in a criss cross order. Be sure not to miss any bolts to avoid having oil leak out onto the exhaust pipes and cause a lot of smoking.
