Reasons for the switch were the typical noise and less bulk for carrying. Maybe a little lighter but use the Molle pack system so even my Viper was tolerable weight wise.

The down side to my LW sit and climb is the belt adjustment. When its cold out, it can be tough to cam over the locking paws. Mine have rope on them to aid in grabbing them, still can be tough. The other issue is I never seem to be able to climb 25ft without having to adjust the belts at least...

The xop quick hang bracket is very good so I went with xop. The bracket makes everything faster and easier/quieter. I used lw for years and think the alpha is a great stand, have an alpha hand climber.
